The Justice Connect Program

Delivering Astria for Tasmania

Astria development begins

The Justice Connect program has partnered with a consortium led by Fujitsu with Journal Technologies, SYSCON Justice Systems and local Tasmanian company Synateq, to develop Astria.

In September 2020 the combined team of program and consortium partners started building the initial Astria prototype. Also called the Minimum Viable Product, or MVP, this preliminary development stage will trial and test Astria's proposed architecture, core functions, and effectiveness of the program-vendors partnership.

The MVP will be developed in a series of three-week 'sprints' and will rely heavily on the advice of subject matter experts who have been brought into the program team from different areas across the Department of Justice to represent future Astria users.

This is an exciting milestone for the Justice Connect program team who look forward to showcasing the Astria MVP early in 2021.
